not so loud mommy

11th January 2006: On the way back from nursery, Princess asked me to play her music CD. She was singing happily to the tune. The music was a bit too soft side, so I tune up the volume a bit and Princess said to me .. "Mommy, not so loud after Titi (brother) cry". I told her "Oh ok .. clever girl". Hehehe it was so nice of her. Playing banging bottle Boy cover face with a picture book Princess had Patrick on her head. When I asked her. "What are you wearing Princess?" She replied. "I'm wearing a hat - Patrick hat". Hehhe cheeky girl!

whole day out

10th January 2006: Normally the kids wouldn't ask for milk until they have woken up that is at about 8 plus to 9am. To my surprise, Princess woke up, half asleep at about 7 plus and told me .. Mommy I want milk. So, I made her a bottle and she was suckling on the bottle with her eyes close. After milk, she went back to sleep until almost 10am. Boy woke up at about 9am. I had him bathe and gave him a bottle of milk. After that he was happily playing by himself while Princess was still sleeping. After awhile when she finally woke up, took her for a bath and later on to Melinda's (niece - hubby's bro's daughter) birthday buffet at a restaurant. The lunch event was crowded with people and Princess doesn't fancy much of these kind of events. After lunch, we decided to do some shopping in 1U. On the way there, both kids had a bottle of milk each and right after, both fell asleep in the car. Upon reaching 1U, Boy woke up and Princess was still asleep for the next 1 hour. Passed by McDonald's and being kiasu, decided to join the Kid's Club since our kids are fans of fries and nuggets. And they have discounts from other boutiques as well. As soon as Princess woke up, we went to KidzSports. They had a great time there, leaving Mommy and Daddy with backache and sore muscles. There was this incident that really bothers me. Princess was playing in the enclosed area for 3 and below. She took 2 balls in her hand .. and suddenly this boy about 3 year/3 year plus moved towards her and took the balls from her hand. I told her nevermind and asked her to play something else. The "boy" was playing with the kiddy roller-coaster car. Princess appraoched him and wanted to play when he got off. He was being possesive and doesn't want to share with her. So I told her .. nevermind the "boy" is playing halfway and asked her to wait her turn when he finishes. She was still ok. The 2nd time, she was playing with a toy plane/tricycle and the Boy came to her and took it from her. This time that's it ... got on my nerve already. I went over to him and scolded him .. he just looked at me giving me that "I don't care look". Princess was still ok. Since the roller-coaster car was available, she went over to play. And suddenly, the Boy went over to her and grabbed. She fell down and cried. That's it .. I was already super angry. I carried her and comfort her. The worse thing was the father was all along sitting near there dreaming and couldn't care less about the whole thing until my girl started to cry. What kind of parent is this?! Allowing your child to be selfish, self-centered and possessive. Sheesh! I completely understand if he's a baby or younger but he's not. At least the parent can guide him when he's playing there but NO! Maybe his parent is also one selfish, self-centered and possessive "you know what"! We always teach my kids to share and take turns but of course not all things can be shared but simple things like toys and food are ok. There are instances where she's relunctant to share but we made sure we explain to her why the behaviour is not acceptable. We'll never allow her to be in that "manner" in public. Post pics soon.

snaps snaps

Princess at 17months Boy at 3 months "They both grow too quickly". Boy at current 14 months: "Do I look pretty?!" Hehehe Princess at current 28 months: Her hair doesn't seem to grow much .. hehhe. At least its much longer now.

peanuts

Today is one of Daddy's good friends wedding. In the morning, he went for the 'pick up' bride ceremony. And by the time he came home was about 2 plus in the afternoon. Boy boy was already alseep but Princess was still awake. Gave her a bottle of milk and she was already asking me for biscuits and other stuff to eat. Daddy took out a packet of peanuts - those that you have to peel of the shell type to munch. As soon as Princess saw that she requested Daddy for some. And she, too is a fan of peanuts just like us. She was munching away happily with a satisfied hum. She was holding the packet of the peanuts and it fell on the floor. Then, Daddy being his funny self told her .. "Princess, quickly pick up the peanuts .. if not the elephants will come and eat". And he walk away sniggering .... silly Daddy! Hehehhe. Since morning, Boy had diarrhea. Since he was still unwell, I did not attend Daddy's friend's wedding dinner. Instead, we all went to my mom's place for dinner.

guinea pigs

Our Cousin Amelia wanted to cook for the CNY eve so asked us to be her guinea pigs. Forgot to take pictures of the dishes she cooked up but it was really fantastic. We had steam prawns, shitake mushrooms, mixed vege and steam salted egg with meat. All dishes were arranged hotel style .. so nicely decorated. Wow! For someone who seldom cook .. she's really good. Hehehe. Little niece Ashley is so cute. She's already 6 months old. She's responding a lot already and she's always smiling .. such a happy baby! When she saw the two kids, she was so excited .. squelling and calling them. Princess and Boy adore her too.

Christmas Eve & New Year's Eve

CHRISTMAS EVE Had turkey in my mom's place .. bought from Las Caretas ... didn't roast this year. Thought of saving all the hassle of roasting but the turkey that we bought doesn't taste as good comparing to the one my elder sis roasted many years back. The turkey bought had so little stuffing and the skin tasted so bland .. sauce is also horrible. Sigh bad choice! So next year, we will be roasting ourselves ... at least we get better stuffings and sauces. After dinner, the kids unwrapped some Christmas gift that we bought. Yes I know the unwrapping shouldn't be until Boxing Day but they are impatient. :) New Year's Eve & New Year 2006 We went over to Westin hotel to meet up with my 2 sisters and brought the kids for a dip in the pool. This time round, Princess didn't want to swim because the water was quite cold. The kids had a fun time splashing for about 30 minutes or so and it started to rain .. bummer! We went back to the hotel for a bathe and later on brought them to "Kids Club" where there are toys and games to occupy the kids while the parents relax. My sisters and their family went for dinner and we went home. The kids didn't take much nap this afternoon. We went off at about 7 plus. As soon as they got into the car, they slept throughout until the next morning 8am. That's really nice. At least Daddy and Mommy have some time to ourselves. Hehe. We had barbecue at my mom's on New Year's Day ... simply scrumptious! Haven't had barbecue for months now. After I had dinner, I realised that Princess was coming down with a fever. Poor girl .. must have caught a cold in the pool. When she's sick, she's really good .. she's not whinny like Boyboy .. they are both totally different. After she took a dose of the fever medication, she fell asleep. They next day, she was well and was her hyper self again. Thank goodness!

Boxing Day Holiday

BOXING DAY We stayed over at Riveira Bay Resort, Malacca on Boxing Day. We went with a couple of friends in the event of celebrating Elaine's birthday as well as Christmas. Took the kids for some kiddy rides, some beach fun and a dip in the pool. As usual, Boy dislike the touch of sand on his teeny weeny feet. From his previous encounter with the beach, we thought its again time to introduce to him the fun of building sandcastles but he's still not ready. He doesn't like it one bit. He just stood there crying and whimpering like there were snakes on the sand. Princess was happily playing with the sand. Tsk! Tsk! And we have forgotten the sandcastle buckets. As soon as we stepped into the pool, Boy was so thrilled .. smiling and splashing the water in the pool. When it was time to go, both of them protested and we had to tell them we'll bring them again tomorrow. Had to resort to white lies .. bad mommy and daddy! We all had Portugese food for dinner at the Portugese Village. Surprisingly, Princess was ok with the spicy fish. Probably she find it tasty. The houses located around the restaurants were decorated so nicely ... it was absolutely beautiful. Its a shame that we'd forgotten to take a picture of one of the houses. The following day, we had chicken rice ball for lunch and did some shopping at Jonker Street. All we bought were 3 fridge magnets (also chosen by Princess - but she broke 2 of it ... aiy!). Before we head for home, we drop by at Malacca Zoo. When we started walking suddenly, there was this huge elephant walking beside me and gosh! it gave a shock and guess who else got a shock as well? Aiy! We took turns carrying Princess around the zoo. You see .. we only brought along a stroller. By the time we reach home, we were already aching all over.

its gonna be only pictures

My Dad bought the pool they're sitting on. Haven't had the time to get the styrofoam as a base so that when they fall and knock their heads, there is a protection base. No styrofoam .. no water .. that's why its sitting there in the living hall. The living hall looks kinda empty .. no choice .. the kids are still young .. so everything had to be baby-proof! See my pretty "long and curly" hair. I told Princess to put her finger on her cheek. See .... so vain! Princess says "I share share cornflakes with Titi (brother)"! Mommy says "That's a good girl!" Boy has been really 'helpful' these days. If he sees any cloth, clothes or tissue, he'll take it and start wiping the floor. Hehehe .. really cute.
